External independent terminal evaluation of the Start-up and first operational phase of the Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CCREEE).The purpose of the evaluation is to independently assess the project to help UNIDO to improve performance and results of ongoing and future programmes and projects.
Mid-term review (MTR) of the West Africa Coastal Areas Resilience Investment Project (WACA ResIP) financed by World Bank and GEF. The purpose of the project is to strengthen resilience, adaptation to climate change including with infrastructure, and early warning and reply to extreme events. The project is implemented by Directorate of Environment of São Tomé and Principe and other national institutions.
Mid-term project review (MTR) of the GEF funded project “Strategic platform to promote sustainable energy technology innovation, industrial development and entrepreneurship in Barbados”, which contributes to the implementation of the National Strategic Plan 2005-2025. The project is implemented by UNIDO, the Ministry of International Business and Industry, the Barbados Investment & Development Corporation and the Clean Tech Cluster Barbados.
Support the activities under the Environmental Monitoring and Assessment Programme of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in developing the 7th pan-European environmental assessment, an indicator based and thematic assessment, implemented jointly with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and in support of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Support to the technical assistance on partial credit guarantees services provider on the environmental and social aspects on the Angola’s Commercial Agriculture Development Project, financed by the World Bank and French Development Agency.
Revision and Updating of the National Forestry and Land Management Policy Frameworks to Integrate Climate Change Risks and Adaptation. This work is done within project REFLOR (Strengthening the Adaptation and Resilience in the Forest Sector in Cabo Verde).
Impact evaluation of the Renewable Energy Policy and Energy Efficiency Policy in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), as well as the impact of the role of the ECOWAS Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE).
Mid-Term Evaluation of the Start-Up Phase of the South African Development Community (SADC) Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE), aiming at: Evaluate SACREEE in terms of its relevance, effectiveness, sustainability and ability to generate impact;
Identify challenges in operationalising SACREEE, taking into account its organisational structure, positioning and relevance; Provide recommendations for SACREEEE’s operations and the provided support of UNIDO and donors; and to provide lessons learned for other centres under the Global Network of Regional Sustainable Energy Centres (GN-SEC).
Development Environmental and Social Management Framework for the private sector recovery component of the Cyclone Idai & Kenneth Emergency Recovery and Resilience Project. This component will lend money to Financial Institutions (commercial bank) at advantageous rates, who in turn lend to money to Micro, Small and Medium size Enterprises borrowers to relaunch the economy of the affected provinces. The taks include development the operations manual, in connection with other components of the project, and provide technical assistance to the different stakeholders.
Support on the improvement and maintenance of an Environmental and Health and Safety legal register for Brazil, and legal register for dozens of clients and sites in different States of Brazil. This work steams from similar work performed in Portugal for more than 5 years.
